WELSH OVERLAND SAFARI TOUR
Abergwesyn Pass and Twm Sion Catti's cave
Our journey takes us to the picturesque Abergwesyn Pass, a beautiful area of Mid Wales steeped in history and natural beauty.
We travel to an area called Dinas where the red kite survived during its near extinction. Sadly, none nest at Dinas. You will probably see buzzards, red kites, peregrines, kestrels and sparrowhawks.
ABOUT THIS MID WALES TOUR
You will pass Wolf’s Leap the three "Irish bridges" and the famous Devil’s Staircase. We take a slight detour to Soar y Mynnydd Chapel a real gem not to be missed, and said to be the most remote chapel in all of Wales. We then take a trip around Llyn Brianne Reservoir where horses graze peacefully at the roadside.
From the RSPB car park, walk along the impressive board walk, on to Twm Sion Catti's cave and back to the car park. We drive on to Llandovery through the picturesque countryside to admire the castle. Then along the A470 and over the military range past the mock-German village, an amazing site set in to the hillside and then back to base.
