One Week, Two Groups of Canadians!
Canada is a country that covers 3.85 million square miles, with varying landscapes and climates. So we took pride this week when not one but TWO groups from the North American territory booked onto our very own Welsh Overland Safari tours!
The first group were two gentleman from Vancouver and they booked on the Abergwesyn Pass, Tregaron, Strata Florida and Elan Valley tour of which the highlight was visiting the Soar y Mynydd chapel (below), the remotest chapel in Wales!
Gary left this review on tripadvisor;
"If you really want to get to know the history of Wales and get to see sights that you would never be able to find on your own....then spend a day with Richard. He is very compassionate about what he does....but he also has a lot of amusing "facts" about historical legends. All in all a very enjoyable and informative day. Highly recommend this tour."
The second group of Canadians was a much bigger group of 6, included Phil and Val Boyd, ex pats who left the UK in there twenties, made a life in Canada and returned to Wales for a holiday now they have retired.
This group opted for the Eastern Beacons tours, which takes in the Eastern side of the National Park including Talgarth, Hay, Brecon and the Usk Valley. It also included a visit to Cwmyoy Church, our very own leaning tower and then onto Partrishow Church, Crickhowell and finally the historic Tretower Castle (below).
